Frequently Asked Questions

SVG to PDF Converter

Will the PDF open in Adobe Illustrator?

Yes. The exported PDF is compatible with Adobe Illustrator and can be opened for editing. For best results, use pure vector SVGs (paths/shapes) and avoid embedded images or external references.

Is the output a real vector PDF?

Yes. If your SVG contains vector paths/shapes, the PDF output remains vector and scales cleanly for print and design.

Which SVG features are supported?

This export is optimized for paths, strokes, fills, groups, and transforms. SVGs with embedded raster images (<image>), HTML foreignObject, scripts, or external resource references are not supported.

How is the PDF page size determined?

We use the SVG width/height when available. For viewBox-only SVGs, we derive deterministic export dimensions from the viewBox to avoid unexpected default sizes.

What about text and fonts?

Text support depends on your SVG and fonts. For maximum reliability and editability, convert text to outlines (paths) before exporting.
